1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to FanRink. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any other services provided by FanRink (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FanRink. We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

FanRink is a social platform designed for hockey fans to connect, share content, and engage with other fans across all leagues—from professional leagues to grassroots hockey. The Service includes features such as:

  • User profiles and social networking features
  • "The Ice" — a global feed for hockey-related posts and discussions
  • "Fanzones" — dedicated community spaces for specific teams
  • Messaging and communication tools
  • Content sharing capabilities

DISCLAIMER: FanRink is an independent fan-driven platform. FanRink is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any professional league, governing body, or team unless explicitly stated. Sports data is provided by third-party sources and may be inaccurate or delayed.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) must be at least 16 years of age, or have verifiable parental consent, to use the Service in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Engage in bullying, harassment, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Post spam, advertisements, or promotional content without authorization
  • Collect or harvest personal information of other users
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any other systems or networks
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our express written permission
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Encourage or enable any other individual to do any of the foregoing

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content. You retain ownership of any content you post, upload, or share on the Service ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant FanRink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform your User Content in connection with the Service and FanRink's business operations.

6.2 Content Responsibility. You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to post your User Content and that your User Content does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any applicable law.

6.3 Content Moderation. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, edit, or remove any User Content at our sole discretion, including content that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We are not responsible for User Content posted by users.

6.4 Feedback. If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Service, you grant us the right to use such feedback without any obligation to you.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of FanRink and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

Our trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent. All other trademarks, logos, and service marks appearing on the Service are the property of their respective owners.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by FanRink. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that FanRink shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of any such content, goods, or services available through any such websites or services.

Sports data displayed on FanRink is provided by third-party sources and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed. FanRink does not guarantee the accuracy of any sports data and is not responsible for any decisions made based on such data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

FANRINK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT (A) THE SERVICE WILL FUNCTION UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME OR LOCATION; (B) ANY ERRORS OR DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; (C) THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR (D) THE RESULTS OF USING THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FANRINK, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
  • Any content obtained from the Service; and
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

IN NO EVENT SHALL FANRINK'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FANRINK, IF ANY, FOR USE OF THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FanRink and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by contacting us at supportteam@fanrink.com or through your account settings.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of FanRink.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FanRink regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous written or oral agreements between you and FanRink.
